Key Responsibilities:
Narrative Scripting:
Implementing VO via proprietary scripting language
Pacing character conversations and narrative beats
Designing both game-wide and bespoke narrative systems for handling player action and inaction
Collaborating with animation, implementing facial and motion capture for scripted scenes
Working as a bridge between writers and level scripters, responding to notes from both partiesĀ and offering additions, cuts or edits to fuse narrative with gameplay
Cinematics:
Implementing in-game cinematic content using our proprietary scripting language
Designing hooks to and from cinematics and gameplay
Participating in cinematic review including lighting, animation, VFX, sound, cinematography and direction
Designing first-pass cinematography (depth of field, focal length, aperture) for virtual cameras prior to animation/directorial work
Participating in motion capture shoots, taking technical planning notes and collaborating with other departments present to plan in-game work
